Jacob Brennan is a Quotations Specialist with a passion for lighting, controls, and building strong relationships throughout the industry. With a diverse professional background spanning hospitality, construction, and electrical distribution, he brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to supporting projects from specification and design through quotation and execution.
Committed to continued education and involvement within the lighting community, Jacob has completed the IES Fundamentals of Lighting program and serves on the IES Ottawa Section Board of Managers as Membership Chair. He is passionate about continually expanding his knowledge of lighting and controls while collaborating with contractors, distributors, consultants, manufacturers, and industry partners throughout the Ottawa region.
Outside of work, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, staying active, and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays.”
Fun facts
Before getting into the lighting industry, I spent 13 years working as a professional chef and hospitality manager. Cooking is still a huge passion of mine, but these days I’m much happier doing it at home for friends and family
My family is my biggest inspiration. They motivate me to keep growing both personally and professionally, and to always be working toward becoming a better version of myself. I’m also inspired by the people I’ve met throughout the lighting industry who are passionate about what they do and are always willing to share their knowledge.
I’m a big outdoors guy and love camping in the beautiful parks we have here in Ontario. I’d love to visit as many as I can in my lifetime! That said, I’m definitely not opposed to escaping the Canadian winter and sitting on a beach somewhere down south.
